Roman Beanie

The Roman Beanie is a simple beanie with an oversized brim and a tier of pretty cabled detail that peeks out from under the fold. This hat is inspired by the ornate cornices and columns that I notice when looking up at buildings in Rome.

Skill level: Competent beginner

Sizes: Three sizes: S, M, L to fit adult head size between 55 – 56cm (57 – 59cm) 59 – 60cm 21.5 – 22″ (22.5 – 23″) 23.5 – 24″

Yarn: Drops Air 2 (2) 2 balls of 150m per 50g. Or 170 (190) 210 m / 186 (208) 230 yd of equivalent Aran weight yarn.

Needles: 3.5mm circular/ 40cm and 4.0mm circular/ 40 cm. (US sizes 4 and 6) 4.0mm DPNs if not using magic loop. 

Notions: 5 stich markers, a cable needle and a tapestry needle.
